APP Home (AOI): London Landmarks

During my trip to London I took photos of the Big Ben and the surrounding area. On a recent Facebook status of mine where I asked people to name me three of London's most popular tourist destinations, all of them mentioned the Big Ben. I'm not too sure if I'm going to couple the Big Ben with other tourist attractions as I think I don't want it to be overloaded with that and “too London-y”.
Therefore I am going to experiment with the idea of drawing both the Big Ben and surrounding area, and Big Ben with other tourist attractions.

Here are the photos I had taken:

As you can see from my photos, I was either too close or too far, and the sun was really low in the sky so you could only see the silhouette of the buildings. Therefore I went into Google Maps and took some screenshots of the area as well as looking at Google Images to see what I could find.
My main focus was on the Big Ben because, as mentioned above, it was the most popular location choice.

I had initially wanted to draw Tower Bridge in the illustration as well, so out of curiosity I went to see how far apart it was from Big Ben, and it turned out to be quite far away.

I would like to mainly focus on Big Ben because it (according to my results) one of the symbols of London, and photos of it floats around whenever I type London into Google.

After looking at Google Maps I drafted out a little timeline with the positions of the buildings around the main attractions (Big Ben and Tower of London). This is to help me figure out what order to draw these buildings in when I choose either one or the other. This can be seen in my sketchbook in my development sketches (last photo).

Conclusion:
Now if I did draw Big Ben and other tourist attractions then I'd have the problem of not being able to fit in the transport... And it wouldn't 'look right' as in reality Big Ben isn't really next to the Tower Bridge. Drafting out my timelines strengthened my idea of drawing Big Ben and surrounding buildings even further as it would seem more plausible. My next step is to practice drawing these buildings to see what way is best for my final piece.
